Trip details
Fly to Longyearbyen with SAS or Norwegian. From airport to Longyearbyen you can take taxi for 5 minutes. They will show up outside the airport and drive shuttle. The airportbus is also an option.Ice caving advanced exploration is a fantastic tour for you who seeks the more advanced tour in Longyearbyen. Conquering ice caves in the glaciers of Svalbard is the ultimate tour for the frozen world lovers. Equipped with crampons and ice tools, you climb wild ice structures and are always secured by a rope. After the welcome and handing out of equipment, we will drive a few minutes to the parking lot where we start hiking towards the glacier. You will get head lamps from us. The hike is about 2,5 km each way. There tour inside the cave are for every year different, and often they involves narrow parts, steep parts climbing, and descending. After we have all put on our equipment, the guide will give you a safety briefing. From there we go in to the cave, exploring its beauty.
