Get ready for the ride
Packing list
Here is what we expect the guest to have on our top tours:
– skis, poles, traps, ski boots (can be rented at the Sports Center)
– transmitter/receiver, search rod and shovel (we have 6 sets for hire)
– a bag that holds at least 25 L, preferably 40 L.
– good clothes. Warm (wool) on the inside, middle layer and shell or wind proof on the outside.
– down jacket/wool jumper
– mittens, gloves, buff and hat
– ski goggles and sunglasses
Else:
– a helmet is optional
– a bottle of cold water if you wish
– a small seat pad is nice to have
Backyard Svalbard has the following with:
– safety equipment
– first aid equipment
– food, snacks, cutlery, cups and thermoses (this is distributed to all participants)
